Faith wife of Thomas Preston died Feb 22 1885 aged 50 years 7 months and 14 days
Notice the carvings on the bottom 5 cm of this stone. Remember that those carvings were hidden by the base when the stone was erected. Could Phillip Maggs have told his kids to have fun trying to carve of the bottom of that stone? He did have kids of proper age to do that at the time this stone was made. We will never know the answer to this for certain of course.
