depiction of a broken hearted dove
or a dying dove, lying against a cruxifix.
*stone sits in Old Maple Leaf, Ward A
and is in fairly good conditon

OML ~ BMoore *Inscription: Desiring to keep this lot continuously beautified and in good condition and repair, $400.00 has been devised to the City Clerk of Chatham in trust, that out of the income there from the expenses of doing so may be paid compensation to the caretaker of this cemetery for special work and for furnishing and watering flowers is specially provided. Provision is also made to pay for Resilvering the Letters on these stones when required to be done .

* an unusual small monument
*upon first viewing it from a distance,
it looks like some logs stacked up.
*it actually is made of concrete shaped
to look like cut logs.
*find this little gem along the roadway
under a tree in Old Maple Leaf Ward F
*it is in considerably good conditon,
lettering is weathering some, but rest still good.

OML ~Tree Stump Monument
This particular tree trunk stone
has a beautiful basket of flowers
sitting directly on top of it. Usually
they are flat or have a bible on top.
Quite often the tree trunk style was erected
by or for Woodmen Of The World.
**this is not necessarily so in this case
