Old St. Anthony Mortuary being restored
There is much work to restore this old
historical building. Work such as blocks being
replaced, a new roof, new crosses put on top ends,
repairs to eaves, as you will see by the following pics,
the work is a must.
Also the old stained glass window that was broken
many years ago, is in the process of being rebuilt.

**A nice front view showing how
the building is starting to look much
fresher with some bright fresh paint.
**The end of the building where the round
wine colored disc is, shows where the original
stained glass window was before being
damaged. Parts of it still remain under the
wood disc cut to protect the rest of it.
**Hopefully the window will be replaced with
a new stained glass one in the near future.

The double doors of the storage
unit at the end of the building have their
1st coat of paint. Another coat or
more is still required at this stage.

Progress is being made with the upcoming
centennial of the Old Mortuary. C~K Cemetery Restoration Volunteers who work on the grave stones in the cemeteries, truly want to see the building preserved.
*Cemetery workers were busy freshening up the
exterior this week Aug. 8/2013.. White & wine paint colors add a noticeable look to the building. A coat of gray to the bench invites all to sit and rest after a walk about the grounds.

**Showing the end and backside
of the building. The metal eave trim
still needs to be finished.
The top arches of the building are
in urgent need of repairs as they are
starting to deteriorate fairly quickly now.
**They will need to be repaired by someone
who truly knows how to do such work.
**Originally there were crosses on
the top of the arches.
