official dedication of the Mortuary or a
St John Baptist Day event.
We believe however it may be an actual photograph
of the opening of this building.

**Chapel was ready for use
~~ on Sept. 26th, 1970 ~~
**this Chapel has been used
in the past for many funeral
gatherings.
**not being used as frequent
these days.

in the entire area.

The "OLD MORTUARY" in 2011
*this old chapel type building consists
of 3 separate rooms.
*the rooms were listed as~~
the Rest Room, the Tool Room,
and the Morgue.
*the ceiling in the Rest Room
still exists~~tongue & groove hardwood.
*remanants of the original, round
stained glass window, still exist
within the original framework
**now used for storage
