*this broken grave marker is now lying
refreshed in a bed of gravel screenings to
hopefully be viewable for quite some years to come.
**lying hidden under the soil & grass has allowed the
cemetery vehicles, etc., to drive over it ~causing the break.
**find this stone at the road in Old St. A's,
in the Circle next to Old M.L., Ward G.

*these stones were found
hidden below the grass and
soil, by Peggy.
*they were cleared, lifted and
restored to a viewable position

cleared of grass and soil which
had been hiding them from view.

* two project volunteers,
Tom Millard & Peggy O'Rourke are
working to clear and then fill the areas
under and around the grave markers,
**1 1/2 wheelbarrows of grass and soil were
removed from the completed site to
prepare for final packing and leveling
with crushed gravel screenings

**monument of
Palajie Dolsen, the wife of
Isaac M. Dolsen is now set
in place on it's newly restored
base.

GRAVE MONUMENT RAISED
**this monument has been prepared
for raising, by digging the soil from
around the deeply sunken base.
**this one will be gently raised with
long pry bars and filled with gravel
under the base and around it,
as it is slowly
built up to the desired height
**covered and blocked off to prevent
anyone accidentally stumbling into the
deep hole

**this took about 1 ~ hour to complete

GRAVE MONUMENT RAISED
NICHOLAS DUMAS
who died Dec. 30, 1902,
at the young age of 53 yrs.
**Grave Stone now stands
straight and solid after being
raised from deep in the soil,
where it was not only sinking,
but was tipping at a quick rate.
