BATTLE OF THE THAMES

Photo taken from the river bank, Tip your screen,
adjust contrast, etc you can just make out a burial mound.
i.e. mound of dirt covering bodies of soldiers
killed in the battle. History says there were two mounds.
One for each side.
The mound was simply the excess dirt left from after
the burials were covered.
Photo taken in 1909 approximately.
History tells us there was a mound of earth
somewhere closer to Thamesville where the
native fighters were interred.
