Some History of The Pardoville (or Union) Cemetery

With Thanks to Chuck Sykes

The land for a Church and a Cemetery was donated by Mr T L Pardo. He was of a United Empire Loyalist family. A family who had received a land grant from Colonel Talbot. Pardo was a very progressive farmer in the area. He was also an area MP.

The Church when built was to be Protestant Non Denominational. The cemetery of course the same and it has continued to this day as a community cemetery as well. At time of writing it was noted that it has probably been in the general area of about 50 years since there were services in the Church. The Community used it for awhile, but it was finally torn down.

Mr Pardo was of course interred in the cemetery along with other notable people from the area.
