How to post a photo into our Gallery

' NOTICE: THE PUBLIC AS OF MAY 2016 WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO POST PHOTOS TO THE WEBSITE, CONTACT TRISH TO HAVE PHOTOS POSTED''

FROM THIS DATE FORWARD, WE WILL NOT POST PHOTOS WITH DATES PRINTED ON THEM, AS WAS THE ORIGINAL RULE WHEN THIS WEBSITE WAS BEING DESIGNED !

The PUBLIC IS NO LONGER ALLOWED - to post photos or text to this website. This is Due to security and safety reasons to protect the site from mistakes being made and deleting files or our whole site.

If You wish to have photos or text posted, feel free to contact us, and after examining such, if it is correct and falls within the guidelines we are using, it will be posted by one of the site controllers.

Information Below is only for our Site Controllers and our Photographers! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our public viewers.

Please be sure when You the public send us photos or information, in your emails or postal mail, include your name and all information about the Grave Stone and the Cemetery it is lying in!'''

To post photos in our Gallery you must be A registered participant of the site. For information please contact Trish.

Each time that you put a photo in the Gallery, a thumb nail, a medium size for general viewing, and a large one are created. Files that are too large will be resized automatically.

To post a photo on your camera to the Gallery, save it to your computer. Then, transfer it to the Gallery

As we are no longer allowing the public to post to the website, if you have photos you would like posted please contact "Trish" about such. However, we try to avoid poor quality photos here. These take valuable space, and are of little value. Please make sure that photos are in focus. On topic, the location of the exact stone and how you came to have the photo, etc. We will not post photos that have been pirated from other websites. Unfortunately we cannot allow photos with dates printed on them.

Note. If you cannot see some required boxes and/or text on your computer screen and your text size is set to very large, please decrease your text size. With smaller print you should see required information. Using Firefox simply press Control and - (minus sign) Use Control 0 to return to your normal size later. For Explorer or other browsers simply use the comparable codes.

  1. Locate the photo on your computer.
  2. Sign in to the Gallery.
  3. Place your mouse pointer over the little "House" on top left of our Gallery's front page. Click on "Upload".
  4. By clicking the down arrow, select album you wish photo to go in.
  5. Click on Browse. Select the picture in your computer that you want to save and click on it. A thumbnail of the photo will appear. When the program tells you it has finished loading click Continue. (We suggest you load only one photo first time.) Your photo is now loaded onto the Gallery. You just have to add descriptive text now.
  6. At this point we suggest you DO NOT click continue. When you post more than one photo you can wipe out text of photos you posted before by mistake. Also, if you follow the following instructions you will be certain that the photo you posted is of sufficient quality and the proper photo that you wished to post here. Place your mouse pointer on the little "house" at top left. i.e. "Home". Click "Home"
  7. Go the the album you posted the photo(s) to. Click the thumbnail of your first photo. It will go to the "Normal size". Just to the left of it, click "Edit".
  8. In the "Title" slot type "Posted by and your name". The reason for this is that it stresses that we promote strict attention to copyright rules here. In the "Description" area type the information from the stone. Click to "Save". You have now completed posting your photo(s)
  9. Hint. With your photo "Normal" size, you will see "Rotate" on left. Click to Rotate. Here you can rotate the photo now and this is often useful. However you will see that the photo is now larger. If you expand the photo this way, go to full screen on your computer page, and then press Control + in Firefox or appropriate key in other browsers and center the picture you will blow the stone up to a huge size allowing you to really see the text clearly. Very seldom you can see it more clearly on site than you can by doing this. Also, if you have a monitor screen that will tip, sometimes you can tip the screen up or down to change contrast and that will help as well.

Note... Next time you will find you can easily post any number of photos all at the same time. You do not have to wait for one to load before you click on another. If a photo gives you an error just upload it again. Just a tiny blip in server can cause that.
