Nothing really is now known of this cemetery other than that there was one monument there to the Taff family. When that monument fell quite a few years back due to an accident with machinery it was moved to the creek bank. As I type it is being located to the farm house at the above 911 number for it's safety. Ditches are NOT safe places due to heavy farm machinery and ditching machines, and since the ditch bank was NOT it's original position anyhow, we have come to the conclusion that moving it to a safe position is likely the best solution. It would be ground to bits within a few years if left on the bank.

On investigating we found what was likely three burial spots on or near the highest hill in the area. One is quite far down toward the lower ground and it seems to contain two burials. One is further up the slope and seems to contain four. And one even higher near the top contains probably 8. We stress though that these locations were found by dowsing, but we believe them to be quite likely accurate finds due to the number of parallel disruptions to the soil in such a pattern in the larger two at least.

At least one monument was known to still stand in 1981 when the information below was recorded. A "Piece of a second monument" was also noted at the time.

The monument text was documented at that time as

James TAFF
died April 20, 1838.
aged 50 yrs
also Eleanor, his wife
died Jan. (Jun.?) 14, 1851,
aged 75 yrs.

Note that the monument is now badly broken. We believe though that it is safe for the foreseeable future once again through the efforts of a number of people.
