Thank you so much for such a quick response! You are definately on the right family, and your information confirms what I have.
My problem runs prior to James Ackert and his wife moving into Kent Co. which means prior to 1851. James indicated in censes etc. that he was born in the US, and Martha was born in Ontario, and I have her parents, siblings etc. As an FYI James died 14 July 1892 and is buried in Shaw Cemetery, Kent Bridge, ON --no stone for either James or Martha.
You mentioned Freeman Corner, and there is a definite connection, I just can't prove it. James and Martha had a son..James Lewis Ackert, this James Lewis named one of his sons Gordon Freeman Ackert. James Lewis had a sister Nancy and she named one of her sons Freeman.
Something else that is interesting..for the most part the name "Louis" is spelt Louis, and yet in the Ackert family, James and Martha, named one of their sons James LEWIS Ackert. I came across a Probabe in the Halton Hills Public Library of a George LEWIS Ackert, he mentions his siblings, but my James is not amongst them.
Gordon Freeman Ackert, son of James Lewis was interested in genealogy, and I have a part of a letter that was written to my grandmother, his sister, wherein he states "I am going to cover 6 generations of Ackert from the 1st James Ackert father of our grandfather Ackert came from Germany in 1769. Our family was Von Ackert he came here to New York State and settled and after the American Revolution they were forced to come to Canada under the United Empire Loyalists plan" Gordon also stated that he was in touch with grandfather Ackerts' brothers family in Hamilton. The letter was dated Jan 31 1960. The grandfather he was referring to was James Ackert born in US with wife Martha Corner. Unfortunately Gordon passed away in 1968 and all family papers were burned so pictures, letters etc were all lost.
When James Lewis Ackert died in 1937 his obituary mentioned "his ancestors were U.E.Loyalists from New York State. He was the last of a family of seven".
Any records that I have checked for a Loyalist connection has revealed nothing regarding anything remotely looking like Ackert or derivitives.
I want to thank you again for your interest in my brick wall, and hopefully by writing out what I know/don't know it might help should you come across my names again.
Sincerely, Patricia O'Brien

"My problem runs prior to James Ackert and his wife moving into Kent Co. which means prior to 1851."
So, if that be the case, then perhaps his father was the one killed in the War of 1812 ... perhaps in Eastern Ontario.
If that were the case, then any Monument in Shawband or elsehwere in Kent would be only a memorial monument and not a gravemarker for him.

Janet, one of our people writes... I still suspect that the books "Oh Shaw" could have good research in them ... and perhaps even Pat O'Brien might have some help.;
The book "Oh Shaw" is in the OGS room of the Chatham Library I am told. I can also get you contact information on him likely.
I think that the people in the OGS room would likely also be your best source of information for contact with Pat O'Brien.

One thing I must strongly emphasize. You need to find a time when you have some time to contact these people and "Stick with them". These are the type of people that you won't get anywhere with if you contact them "now and then". You need to ask them about the topic and be ready to reply instantly and contact them each time they contact you or ask for information, etc until you get to a conclusion with them. So I would not advise you to contact them until you have time to work it that way. If you get busy suddenly and don't contact them when you are supposed to at some point, you will likely immediately burn a bridge and NEVER be able to rebuild that bridge again!

Again, I will try to finish this project from the Shawbanks angle. I have though little hope of finding any positive output for you, but I will certainly bring it to an end one way or the other.

A last follow up

Saturday AM. I went over this morning, and did some more checking. This allowed me to find that the one "Monument" I had found was not a monument at all but a corner marker. I was able to find a second on the same side. I was NOT able to find markers on the cemetery side.

I was then also able to do some more checking. On the London side of your stone - i.e. the front side are 9 kids. This pretty much confirms that the marker is in the right position. That one is actually some sort of "Pot base" rather than a corner stone. But I am certain it is in the corner stone position. Thus, we know two three "Sides" of your plot there. We do NOT know the forth. This then helps me to tell what is in your plot. If the monument is on center and likely it is. Beginning at the #2 highway side of the plot it is as follows.

1. There is a baby's burial there. VERY near to the edge but I still think it is on that side.
2. There is an adult. 3. There is the marker. 4. There is an open spot. The marker is right over it in particular. 5. There is an adult. 6. There is an adult.

I caution that we do not know that last side so there might be more or less but I've a pretty good idea that is correct.

The stone Monument I thought that I had picked up was not such but instead a marker as mentioned. Thus, I did not find any other stones on the plot.

I looked again at the plot in the back corner I mentioned with the stone face down. I quickly realized it was not such but instead was the base for a granite stone that has been removed.

So, From there I can't help you a lot unfortunately. Sorry things did not turn out better.
