The only information that we have on this burial is the following documented by Kent Branch OGS.

Lot 20 SMR
Gray Line at bridge over Baptist(e) Creek
Tilbury East Township. Kent Co.
Dated Auqust 15, 1875
Said to Not be in current use but that is likely only conjecture. Unknown if family know for sure if his remains were moved.
Buried on the farm because he was behind $18 in his church dues and thus the church would not allow his family to bury him in the church cemetery.

The grave was destroyed by a land cultivator and the monument was moved to the cemetery a century later.

The position of this grave was known and understood at one point. Then it fell into disrepair. Later a land owner erected a nice small white fence around it and kept it up. Then once again, it fell into ruin, and he monument fell over, and the land owner hit the monument with a large cultivator. At that point it was decided that the monument belonged in the St. Francis Xavier cemetery and was then placed there.

Note that the old grave is right beside the bridge at the road over Baptist Creek.
